The TokyoMilk Radiant Glow Luminizer Creme is about to up your glow-game.
I'm always up for a highlighter. It can be in a pan, a liquid, a cream- if it's going to make me look like I gracefully descended from heaven, I want it. When I saw this product from Margot Elena, the uncommon-fragrance moguel/designer, it immediately peaked my interest.
TokyoMilk's Luminizer Creme is .5 oz / 15 g and retails for $30. What struck me as interesting about this product was that it was a liquid... in a jar. Prior to ordering, I scanned the directions, which seemed simple enough:
Sweep onto cheeks, nose, cupid’s bow & body for a luminous glow.
I knew once I received it that I was more than likely going to want to bathe in it, just by looking at the pictures.
My requirements for a great highlighter are as follows (by order of importance): No chunky glitter of any kind can be found in the direct sunlight. It has to look like you are as naturally glowy as possibly, so under no circumstances can any harsh lines can be seen. AKA. It needs to able to blend really well. Other than that, as long as it doesn't make my face look like a greasepit or disco ball, I'm IN.
When my package arrived and I was finally able to see the contents of mystery jar, it had to be opened immediately. I was extremely curious about the texture: was is going to be a jelly? Thin? I needed answers.
The product is a luxurious cream and FULL of glow. Like, as in... oh. I just casually dabbed the lid. I can now cover each cheekbone, my nose, my eyes... I mean, this stuff goes a long way. It has no chunky glitter in it and gives you a scintillating glow that looks like you are living in a perpetual golden hour bubble. There's definitely shimmer in it, but it's mixed in with a rich creme that just oozes smooth, dewy skin.
I am pretty fair and it did not look dark on my skin or oxidize throughout the day. I also did not find that it wore away or looked greasy after several hours of wear.
Overall, I am really excited to incorporate this into my makeup routine! It reminds me of a thicker, more concentrated version of my already HG Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer. The pot feels very luxurious, and I have no reserves about how long this will last me.
Have you tried this brand before? Let me know what you think!
